Inspired by the challenge of finding delicious and natural food on the go, Peqish opened in 2014 with the goal of delivering clean food devoid of additives and obscure chemicals that are often found in grab-and-go meals.

The Restaurant

Located in the heart of Vancouver, Peqish serves high quality healthy food for people on the go while still being both delicious and affordable. Everything is made daily in-house using fresh ingredients, right down to the ketchup! You never have to worry about going to Peqish with dietary restrictions because they cater to all diets offering vegan, dairy free and gluten free options. Part of their core philosophy is creating clean food made using simple ingredients that are free of preservatives, so they’re constantly making fresh artisan sandwiches, salads, baked goods and baguettes throughout the day and nothing stays overnight.

Peqish also believes in the importance of giving back to the community and that’s why they source locally whenever possible. Unlike many restaurateurs, Kenneth To and Anthony Marotta are scientists by training. Their analytical approach to food paired with a classically trained chef from Le Cordon Bleu is what makes Peqish truly unique.

The Food

A healthier alternative to fast food, Peqish is the perfect lunch spot if you want to relax and grab a quick meal and not be weighed down after from processed ingredients. The menu is full of comfort food items like salads, sandwiches and baked goods so you can reward your body and your taste buds. You can check out the new items like the Thai Noodle Salad or try the Southwest Ham and Cheese for a twist on the old classic. Whether you’re meeting up with a colleague for lunch or grabbing some breakfast on your way to work, Peqish is the perfect spot to grab a quick and delicious meal without feeling guilty afterwards.
