Inside the Kitchen: Next Door Eatery
Since 2011 Next Door Eatery has been the go-to place where friends, family, and co-workers can meet for a quick meal centered around fresh ingredients and good conversation.
The Kitchen family of restaurants was co-founded in 2011 by Kimbal Musk, an entrepreneur and restaurateur, and chef Hugo Matheson with the goal of serving America real food. Since its original opening, Next Door Eatery now has locations in Colorado, Tennessee and a location coming soon to Indianapolis. After helping his brother start a number of successful tech companies, Musk decided to focus on sourcing and preparing real food at every price point. What makes Next Door Eatery unique is that their food is all made from scratch and the restaurant is run sustainably. Guests come for the clean food and fast service but stay for the sit-down, casual vibe.
Taking a fully homegrown approach, Next Door Eatery serves American food from American farmers. Next Door offers an eclectic variety of shared plates (we recommend their Garlic Parmesan Smashers) while also offering the standard crowd pleasers like fresh salads, sandwiches, bowls and even local-dry aged burgers.
Next Door is veggie heaven! The menu is full of vegetarian and vegan options as well as gluten free and dairy free options. Make sure to add their 50/50 Burger and Roasted Veggie Bowl, a delightful heap of roasted mushrooms, cauliflower, broccolini, onions, and quinoa to your list of must-try menu items. The bar is full of local craft beer, wine and other cocktails that complement the menu items for the perfect pairing.
